Bimetal-bearing is a bimetal bearing, wrapped of steel sheets with a high performance bronze based sliding surface.
The sliding surface on the standard bearings is equipped with lubrication pockets across the entire area, ensuring even lubricant distribution and improved operational reliability. The steel backing is copper‑plated to enhance corrosion resistance and extend service life. The combination of a steel core and a specially alloyed bronze surface provide strong emergency running properties and reliable performance, even during extended lubrication intervals.
The bearings can also be manufactured with machining allowance, enabling the inner diameter to be finished to the desired tolerance after installation. In addition, the sliding surface material can be adapted to specific operating conditions, such as varying loads, temperatures, and lubrication requirements, making bimetal bearings a versatile choice for a wide range of industrial applications.
