Technical choices that affect sustainability
In industrial applications, the choice of bearings can affect service life, friction and operational reliability. We help our customers select bearing solutions based on the application’s requirements and operating conditions.
Longer service life
Bearings with a longer service life need to be replaced less frequently. This reduces material consumption and the need for new components over time.
Friction and energy losses
The bearing’s properties affect friction during operation. The right bearing solution can help to limit energy losses, depending on the application and operating conditions.
Operational reliability
A bearing solution that meets the application’s requirements can contribute to reliable operation and fewer unplanned stoppages. It can also reduce the need for maintenance.
Testable performance

longer service life in a comparative test
In a separate third-party test, the D&E Bearings WB802 series demonstrated a 43 per cent longer service life than the comparison product under evaluation.
The result applies to the products in question under the specified conditions and cannot be readily extrapolated to other products or operating conditions. The outcome demonstrates the difference in service life, but does not in itself establish any reduction in carbon dioxide emissions.
